PHENIX BNL - Group History
The BNL PHENIX group was formed in 1991 from BNL proponents of the original letters of intent (LOI) at RHIC, which were combined by the BNL management with Sam Aronson as project director. The founding group members were:
  • Sam Aronson (Di-Muon) --Group Leader
  • Mike Tannenbaum, Yousef Makdisi[C-AD] (TALES, RHIC/Spin)
  • Craig Woody, Gabor David (SPARHC)
  • Ed O'Brien, Jeff Mitchell (OASIS)
